  • To keep students motivated and interested use a variety of patterns in a lesson.
  • All classes are mixed ability: students are at different points in their language learning, have different learning strengths and differrent intelligences.
  • When grouping students in young learners classes,it is important to consider their cognitive and physical development.
  • With a class between 2o to 30 learners, we can manage a range of interaction patters quite easily. but with more than 3o students it is necesary careful planning.
  • Gradual introduction of pair and group work is important when learners are used to working as a whole class.
  • Activities do not always have to be done in the same learners groupings.
  • Take into account that some learners can be absent from class.
  • Sometimes a student arrives late for class after we have organized the groupings for the activity.
