Exposure and focus on form

Recently, some investigators have discovered that learning a language is more than only study. Exposure is the new way to learn because when people are exposed to English by reading books, writing letters, watching movies or videos and listening to music, learners unconsciously start using the language. Researchers explain that it is how babies learn their native language. 

On the other hand, exposure is not enough when adults are learning the language. They must focus on form. It means grammar structure, pronunciation, lexis, written forms, etc. Finally, they have to use the language to interact with others because communication is the main element of learning.
