The four English language skills: reading, listening, writing, and speaking has sub-skills to make clear the use of the skill. Listening has a variety of sub-skills. Here, we are going to name some of them.
Listening focuses on understanding spoken language. It means that sounds, words, and sentences are joined to have a connected speech. Connected speech is when people communicate in a certain language, every word has some effects on each other.
