UNIT 19 - IDENTIFYING AND SELECTING AIMS

Aims are what teachers and students want to achieve in a lesson or sequence of lessons. Teachers should plan a variety of classroom activities to achieve those aims.

Identifying and selecting the most appropriate aims for a group of students. There are three different kinds of aims: main, subsidiary, and personal.

The aims can be flexible and dependable on several things like your students' level and interests, syllabus, teaching method, and some others. It is recommendable to write the aims before starting a lesson plan to make sure what learners are able to do at the end of the lesson.
