Identifying and selecting the most appropriate aims for a group of students. There are three different kinds of aims, main aims, subsidiary aims, and personal aims. We as teachers should know about them to use appropriately for each purpose inside the classroom activities.
Main aims: These aims describe the most crucial thing that teachers want to be accomplisehd by students in a lesson or sequence of lessons.
Subsidiary aims: They show the language or skillslearners must be able to use well in order to achieve the main aim of the lesson. It provides the best methodology of ensuring that he lesson plan made by a teacher are well-developed and focus on the students' needs to complete the requirements of the lesson.
Personal aims: It is also important to know what we want to improve in our teaching. All teachers have something that want to improve or develop for keeping a good standard in lessons.
