Supplementary materials are extra resources, books or other things in addition to the coursebook that include a lot of activities about grammar, vocabulary, phonology, and communicative tasks. To choose this kind of material, teachers must consider some aspects:
1. Materials must come from authentic resources,, such as, books, magazines, etc.
2. Take care if the activities you choose are from websites because not all information is real.
3. Look up for materials and activities that are related to the topic you are teaching.
4. Be sure that the activities you are looking for are not similar to those you have in the coursebook.
5. Choose material that help you to complete the class.
In conclusion, supplementary materials and activities are an aid for teacher and students because there are extra information that can be used in class to get a better learning.
